ABOUT THE DOCTOR
“When I started The Resilient Body, my goal was simple;
Dr. Micaela Dlugosz, PT, DPT
help women move well and live well.”
Hi, I’m Micaela.
I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy, pelvic health specialist, and mom—and I believe women deserve to understand their bodies.
I became a physical therapist because I’ve always been fascinated by how the body moves, adapts, and changes. Over time, my work became increasingly focused on women’s health, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and the pelvic floor.
But I’ve come to realize that women’s health is about so much more than treating problems after they happen.
I want women to have the knowledge and tools to understand their bodies before they need to fix something.
That might mean helping a teenager understand her menstrual cycle and what her period can tell her about her health. It might mean helping a pregnant woman understand how to move, breathe, strengthen, and prepare her body for birth. It might mean helping a new mom rebuild her strength and confidence after delivery. Or it might simply mean helping a woman better understand the body she has lived in for years.
My approach combines physical therapy, movement, body awareness, nutrition education, and practical educationto help you become more confident in your own body.
I don’t believe you should have to blindly follow a list of exercises or be told that something is “just normal” because you’re a woman, pregnant, postpartum, or getting older.
You deserve to know why.
My goal is not just to help you feel better today. It’s to give you the understanding and tools to advocate for yourself and care for your body for years to come.
Whether you’re navigating your first period, preparing for birth, recovering postpartum, returning to exercise, or simply wanting to feel stronger and more connected to your body, I’m here to help you understand, prepare, and thrive.
